Fair Employment Practices Policy
All employees and applicants are entitled to equal employment opportunities and no employee or applicant will be discriminated against because of race, color, religion, creed, age, sex, national origin, ancestry or qualifying disability that can be reasonably accommodated and no employee or applicant will be retaliated against for seeking to enforce an employee's right to be free from discrimination because of race, color, religion, creed, age, sex, natural origin or qualifying disability that can be reasonably accommodated.
No employee may aid, abet, compel, coerce or conspire to discharge, harass or cause another to resign because of race, color, religion, creed, age, sex, national origin, ancestry or qualifying disability.
The Director (or designee) serves as the Equal Employment Opportunity Officer to the Elyria Public Library System. All employees are required to report allegations of violation of this policy. Such reports may be made directly to the Director (or designee) or to the employee's supervisor.
