Summer reading is in full swing at the library! Stop in at one of our branches and sign up to read and win prizes. We have programs for all ages, including Mad Science, Harry Potter's Birthday Party, Natural Ohio with the Lorain County Metroparks and Keystone graduate Austin Stambaugh's fiddling concert. Are your school age children interested in science? Then drop in on our extra innings program, where we will be doing activities with constellations and learning about conductivity with squishy circuits. As always, we have storytimes for the 5 and under set. We can't wait to see you!

Summer is flying by, and our Summer Reading Program is in full swing. Programs for children abound, including Baby Play and Learn for our littlest patrons, Preschool story times and parties, Summer Imagination Camps specially designed for Grades 1 – 5, and Young Adult programs such as Duct Tape Lanyards and the Teen Writer’s Group. Stop by for a program, and while you’re at it, pick up some of your favorite books and DVDs.

Tours, storytimes, and group visits may be scheduled for school classes, scout groups, day cares, and parent groups. To schedule a visit, please call EPLS staff at least three weeks in advance.

Early Literacy

Our children's rooms are full of wonderous adventures waiting to be explored by your little ones. We want to help build the skills your child needs to be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills, such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.

Homework Help

Stop in for a quiet area and large tables to get your homework completed. Use our online research tools.

Cards & Computers

The children's Room computers are just for kids! You'll need a student ID or library card to sign on. Don't have a library card? We have a Children's 3 for ME card for kids under 12.
