Pages from your Librarian
With November comes the autumn of the year in more ways than one. Darker days, swirling leaves and a crisp scent in the air often evoke memories of our past. There is something about spending a cozy fall evening in the library that reminds us of our own childhoods. As we celebrate family this month, stop in and share some of your favorite childhood titles with your kids. Help us celebrate Mickey Mouse’s birthday with a festive party at West River. Explore a STEAM Station and challenge yourself with science. Meet author Shelley Pearsall on November 11th at Central library. Curl up with Fireside Fairy Tales at North Branch. There is something for all ages at Elyria Public Library. Thank you for being a patron of Elyria Public Library!
Tours, storytimes, and group visits may be scheduled for school classes, scout groups, day cares, and parent groups. To schedule a visit, please call EPLS staff at least three weeks in advance.

Our children's rooms are full of wonderous adventures waiting to be explored by your little ones. We want to help build the skills your child needs to be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills, such as talking, singing, reading, writing, and playing.
Stop in for a quiet area and large tables to get your homework completed. Use our online research tools.
Cards & Computers
The children's Room computers are just for kids! You'll need a student ID or library card to sign on. Don't have a library card? We have a Children's 3 for ME card for kids under 12.
