Pages from your Librarian

Summer reading programs aren't just for kids anymore. The Library values readers of all ages. Reading as an adult is just as beneficial as reading as a child. Reading stimulates the mind, which can slow the progression of Alzheimer's and dementia; reduces stress; expands vocabulary; improves memory and analytical thinking skills; and influences better writing.

By visiting the library, your reading materials can be checked out for free. As an added bonus through our Adult Summer Reading Program, you can earn chances to win extraordinary prizes just for reading. Look at all the perks adults have for reading. Download Bingo Card here to participate in this year's Adult Summer Reading Program. Participants must be 18 years or older.
